Every metric this API returns, with the formula, what it is for, and the specific way people get it wrong. Written from how these are actually computed here, not paraphrased.
The chance a shot is scored, from where it was taken and whether it was a header, fitted on the league's own history.
Every shot a team or player took, or a team conceded, drawn where it was taken, with its outcome and xG.
Goals divided by shots: how often a team's or a player's shots go in.
A player's totals scaled to one full match, so starters and substitutes can be compared on rates.
The match-result market: one price on the home win, one on the draw and one on the away win.
A head start in goals given to one side so the market has two outcomes: -0.5 means the home side must win.
A sportsbook's last price before kick-off, the market's most informed view of a match.
A club strength rating that moves after every match by how surprising the result was.
A team's expected goals for minus expected goals against: the quality of the chances it makes and allows.
A match in which a team concedes no goals; for a goalkeeper, a start in which his side conceded none.
